Bay Area Children's Photographer : Baby Sydney

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing baby Sydney!  You might recognize her from her newborn pictures...and here she is at 6 months!  I can't believe that she is 6 months already (and I'm sure that Matt and Lisa can't believe it either).  Sydney is just a bundle of joy, and is the happiest baby!  As you all know, it's been raining like crazy, but this day the sun was peaking out from behind the clouds, and gave off the BEST lighting ever! 

Thank you Lisa and Matt for letting me take pictures of your cute and adorable daughter!

Superbowl Treats...

A website that I visit oven (if not daily), is Bakerella.  She is a wonderful baker, and makes the CUTEST cupcakes, cookies and cakepops!  I was searching around for something to make for the Superbowl party that we are going to later today, and I came across these adorable Oreo Football Truffles.  Of course mine are not as cute as hers are, but they sure do taste great!!

Uggs and rain...

For the past month of so, Northern California (and other parts of the state), has been hit pretty hard with rain (I can hear the rain falling as I type this!).  I like the rain.  I like curling up on the couch, reading a magazine, with the fireplace on, and watching the rain outside.  I hate being in rain.  I don't like getting all wet, and having to fight with the wind to keep my umbrella up (like I did today)!  So that brings me to my Uggs.  I got my first pair of Uggs for Christmas!  I love them...but I have only been able to wear them outside once since I unwrapped the wonderful package from underneath the Christmas tree.  I don't want to get them wet, and I'd be so sad if they got dirty already LOL!  I'm sure that once I start wearing them more, that I'll be ok with a little bit of dirt that might fall on them, but in the meantime, this is what they look like...just hanging out in the living room, all clean and just waiting to be worn! 

Laughter

Dictionary.com defines laughter as "an expression or appearance of merriment or amusement".  I define it as music of the soul!  What I love about photography is that I am able to capture split second moments in time, and each moment has an emotion or expression attached to it, one being laughter.  I love capturing laugher...it makes me smile, and it makes me happy, and it's contagious. 

As I look back at 2009, I can't help but smile at all of these wonderful moments of happiness.  I hope 2010 brings much more moments of laughter!
