What happened in Japan is unimaginable...the images are devastating...and it makes me sad. I am reminded that anything can happen in the blink of an eye. I am reminded to tell my friends and family that I love them. I am reminded that life is too short.
My dear friend sent me a link to "For Japan With Love". The ladies of Utterly Engaged and Ever Ours have organized a "Bloggers day of Silence" and the aim is to raise awareness and acknowledge the devistation that is going on in Japan. They have teamed up with ShelterBox, which anyone can donate to. According to the Ever Ours Website, "ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items."
I am proud to be participate in a Bloggers Day of Silence for Japan, Friday March 18th. If you would like more information regarding ShelterBox and how to donate, click here.
